Bao Loc Primary School
Bao Loc Primary School, Lam Dong, Vietnam
In January 2015; news reached the Costa Foundation of a small primary school in Bao Loc commune in Lam Dong Province where the land it sat on was due to be taken over by the Vietnamese Army. Further investigations revealed that the community had inadequate nursery school facilities with children having to use community halls and storage sheds for their nursery school education. Plans were put in place to rebuild the primary school on a nearby piece of land donated by the Bao Loc People’s Committee, a plot that was happily big enough for a brand new nursery school as well. The new primary school was opened on the 27th October by the Costa Foundation UK Manager who witnessed over 100 children hard at their lessons on their very first day in their new school.
