Dung K’Si Nursery School
Dung K’Si Nursery School, Vietnam
The Costa Foundation’s fourth nursery school project with ACOM in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, this is a particularly beautiful school in terms of its design and use of colour. This community originally lived and worked in the forests but in agreement with the government now live in the new village of Da Chais and are now the protectors of the forest as well as coffee growers.
Inaugurated by the Costa Foundation in a celebration of dance and music in May 2018, it was wonderful to see the children of the “forest people” embracing their new facilities and learning the Vietnamese language.
120 children between the ages of 3-5 are benefitting from 3 classrooms, kitchen and canteen and playground and the teachers have an admin block to use for preparing lessons.
