Noble High School
Noble High School, Ibanda, Uganda
Ibanda district is located in the western region of Uganda and is part of the Ankole Sub-Region. The school was opened on Saturday 23rd July 2016 by a Costa Foundation Trustee and was the 55th Costa Foundation school project to be opened around the world.
Enrolment numbers are high with 344 students already enjoying the new facilities of which 58% are girls. Due to the remoteness of this location there are 155 boarders and 189 day students.
The celebration to mark the opening of this school was a very student-focused event with many performances of song and dance and with the head boy and head girl proudly performing the Noble High School anthem which celebrated their new facilities.
The classroom block, boarding accommodation and admin block funded by the Costa Foundation has resulted in additional funding from an external donor to provide extra classroom facilities.
