Kumbi Primary School
This school opened in October 2021.
Located in the Harena Buluk District of Bale Zone, Kumbi Kebele is around 595 km away from Addis Ababa . This is our first project to be completed with 50/50 match-funding from Educate a Child.
The school has 7 classrooms, one Early Child Education classroom, a library with plenty of books and two gender-segregated sanitation blocks.
The construction started in May 2020 but heavy rain, the Covid-19 pandemic and the sharp rise in materials costs meant that the final delivery of the building was sadly delayed.
Now the school is complete and has been opened to the children of Kumbi and neighbouring Kebele, who are absolutely delighted with their new facilities.
